William A Carbone

I live in this area and work as an artist, primarily with the watercolor medium.  The area has inspired me to paint "Local Inspirations, " which is my theme--the river, the mountains, and the people who live here.  Essentially self taught, I briefly attended workshops at Arts Students League, Riley School of Design, and the Motion Picture Scenic Artists' Apprentice Program in NYC.  I also worked as a displayer for the Pepsi-Cola Pavillion at the last New York World's Fair.  Afterwards served in the military during the Vietnam Era, completing my service.  I then worked in the medical field for many years.

After a long hiatus from my art endeavors, I returned to the Hudson Valley and my art.

My "artwork," I think, is somewhat conventional, leaning towards realism, while trying to convey a feeling, emotion or mood of my subject.

SOMETIMES I AM EVEN SATISFIED!!!

I stay active with several art Councils, groups, and attend workships.  I am also an instructor for several area watercolor workshops.
